Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash at 55th and Metropolitan in Kansas City, Kan. early Saturday morning.
Police were called to the scene about 12:30 Saturday morning.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a black sedan and an orange SUV involved in the collision.
Officers say the initial investigation shows that a Chevy Malibu traveling northbound on south 55th struck a Honda Element, while it attempted to turn into the Skyline Apartment complex.
The 29-year-old male driver of the Honda was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.
A male passenger in the Honda was transported in critical condition, but also later died from his injuries.
The adult male driver of the Chevy Malibu, along with three juveniles were transported with minor injuries.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
