KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man is dead after a single-car crash in Cass County Tuesday evening.
It happened around 5:15 p.m. on Route YY at Major Road.
A crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the wreck happened when a 2004 Toyota went off the right side of the road, hit a driveway entrance, went airborne and then hit the ground.
The car hit another driveway entrance, went airborne again and overturned as it hit the ground.
The driver, identified as 37-year-old Douglas Baker of Urich, Missouri, was partially ejected.
The car came to a rest on its top, partially in the road.
Baker was pronounced dead at the scene.
He had not been wearing a seatbelt, according to MSHP.
