UPDATE 8:30 PM 1/29/2019: Kansas City will still be getting its mail on Wednesday.

The United States Postal Service has corrected a statement sent to 41 Action News saying delivery operations were suspended in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska on Wednesday due to cold temperatures.

USPS says delivery services will be suspended in portions of those states but not the entire states. 41 Action News reached out for clarification and was told services will continue in the Kansas City metro area.

A list of affected zip codes sent out late Tuesday night did not include any Kansas or Missouri locations.

In the affected areas, the USPS said the cold temps will prevent pickup from businesses, collection boxes and residential and commercial package pick-up services. Retail locations will remain open, though the USPS said options may be limited.
