An 18-year-old male was killed on Saturday night after being shot in the head, according to police.
The shooting took place in the 2900 block of North Allis Street in Kansas City, Kansas.
Neighbors say they heard gunshots shortly before 10 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found the victim lying in the street. Authorities transported the man to the hospital where he later died of his injuries.
Police have identified the deceased victim as Stephon Egans, 18, of KCK.
Investigators believe Egans and the gunman know one another. Captain Victor Webb said they desperately need witnesses to come forward.
"We have people on scene we believe they might have more information." said Webb
