KANSAS CITY, Mo. — There were no winners Sunday morning in Overland Park when a car struck a bicyclist.

Video of the incident tweeted by Overland Park Police shows two bicyclists heading northbound on a sidewalk adjacent to Metcalf Avenue at 137th Street when a car looking to make a right-hand turn onto Metcalf enters the crosswalk, striking one of the cyclists.

Overland Park Police spokesperson Officer John Lacy said the bicyclist was not seriously hurt.

The driver was cited for two violations.

Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this story indicated the bicyclists were cited for not having the right-of-way. Though the cyclists did not have the right-of-way, they were not cited.
