KANSAS CITY, Mo. — With a strong demand in store, Walmart announced that it will hire 150,000 new employees nationwide through the end of May.
The retailer plans to hire more than 4,300 people in Missouri and more than 3,600 in Kansas to work in stores, clubs, distribution centers and fulfillment centers.
Walmart also announced that it plans to give a cash bonus to hourly employees.
The bonus will be $300 for full-time hourly employees and $150 for part-time hourly employees who have been with the company since March 1.
