It doesn’t get much cuter than this!

One KC mother caught her 2-year-old son reading a bedtime story to his dogs on Saturday.

The young kiddo was reading to Ronnie and Macy, who were both shelter dogs for quite some time.

Ronnie, a deaf pitbull, spent over 500 days in a shelter. Macy was adopted on the day she was scheduled to be euthanized.

The mother, Jenna Beardé, says it was nice to see this happen on ‘Clear The Shelters’ day, a nationwide pet adoption initiative that aims to connect animals in need with loving families.

“I just want people to know that our rescued pitbull is so kind and gentle,” said Beardé.
