KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A large water main break was reported near the Ameristar Casino early Thursday morning.
Crews were called to Northeast Birmingham Road just before 5:30 a.m. for the break.
KC Water officials said a 12-inch main is leaking, but the cause is still unknown.
There was an electrical pole that fell into the water, but Evergy has since neutralized that pole.
Water has been shut off to the casino, but officials there have not yet commented if they are affected or shut down.
A water crew is on the scene working to correct the issue.
Northeast Birmingham Road is reportedly shut down from the railroad tracks to the entrance of the casino.
