KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A winter weather advisory has been issued ahead of a storm system that could cause headaches for those heading to Kansas City for the Chiefs playoff game this weekend.

The advisory will be in effect from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday. A storm system is expected to move into the area on Friday, bringing two to five inches of snow.

Rain will start on Friday afternoon before changing to snow in the evening. Accumulating snow is expected overnight.

On Saturday, light snow will be likely in the morning, with scattered snow showers in the afternoon.

The storm system comes ahead of a big weekend in Kansas City. At 3:35 p.m. Saturday, the Kansas City Chiefs host the Indianapolis Colts in an AFC divisional round game.

The winter storm could cause "slippery road conditions" and travel difficulties, the National Weather Service said.
