Winter Weather Advisory, Wind Chill Warning issued for KC metro

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A winter weather advisory and wind chill warning have been issued for the Kansas City metro.

The wind chill warning begins at 6 p.m. Saturday and runs through 6 p.m. Monday, while the winter weather advisory begins at 6 a.m. Sunday and ends at 6 p.m. Monday.

Wind chills are expected to bring temperatures as low as 30 degrees below zero.

The advisory also estimates snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches in portions of east central and northeast Kansas and north central, northwest and west central Missouri.

Road conditions will be slippery, according to the advisory, and the conditions could affect the morning commute.
