WYANDOTTE COUNTY, Kan. — A woman walking on Interstate 35 near 7th Street was struck and killed by a vehicle shortly after midnight.
The Kansas Highway Patrol was called to the scene on I-35 northbound at 12:09 a.m. Saturday.
Troopers discovered a woman struck and killed by an unknown vehicle.
There is no information on why the woman was walking on the highway, or any information on the vehicle that struck her.
Three right lanes of the interstate were closed while troopers investigated the scene until about 3 a.m.
The woman has not yet been identified.
