KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A woman is in serious condition after she was hit by a car while she was crossing Winner Road Saturday night.
Police were called to the scene just before 10:30 p.m.
Investigators say a female pedestrian was crossing Winner Road when she was struck by a White Dodge Charger.
The driver tried to stop, but hit the woman with the right front fender.
The woman was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
The driver stopped and cooperated with police and was released from the scene.
