KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One woman was rescued after a two-alarm house fire in Olathe on Tuesday morning, officials said.
The fire occurred around 9:40 a.m. at a home in the 700 block of North Willie Street, according to the Olathe Fire Department.
The woman was rescued by firefighters from a second-floor window. She was taken to an area hospital with possible smoke inhalation, according to the fire department.
She was expected to be OK, a fire department spokesperson said.
No one else was injured, but three family dogs died in the blaze, the fire department said.
Three adults were displaced from the home, which suffered extensive damage in the blaze, the fire department said. The American Red Cross was working to assist them.
Investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire.
