KANSAS CITY, Mo. – At least one person died in a wrong-way collision on 71 Highway at 22nd Street.
The accident happened around 5 a.m. Monday.
Police said it was caused by a driver going southbound in the northbound lanes. The car going the wrong way collided with three other cars, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to KC police.
Two other people were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, and a third adult wasn't injured.
MoDOT was called to repair a median that was damaged in the crash.
KCPD is looking into whether or not alcohol played a role in the crash.
