CLAY COUNTY, Mo. -- An 83-year-old woman was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash on I-35 near 152 Hwy. Friday night.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the woman was driving the wrong way in the northbound lanes of I-35 when she sideswiped another vehicle.
Her car then slammed into another vehicle and was struck by a semi-truck. In all, four vehicles were involved in the crash.
The woman was taken to an area hospital via ambulance.
No other injuries were reported.
The interstate was closed for a few hours as crews worked to clear the scene. It has since reopened.
