KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Following a day of riots, a joint session of Congress certified the results of the 2020 presidential election, affirming that Joe Biden will become the next president of the United States and that Kamala Harris will become the next Vice President.
The joint session, which was presided over by Vice President Mike Pence, completed their work early Thursday morning.
