UPDATE: Police have two suspects in custody after a manhunt in Parkville.

Around 11:15 a.m., officers were called to the 6800 block of NW Vista on a suspicious car and occupant. Police said a gray Jeep was speeding through the area, driving through yards.

Officers responded to the area and observed the vehicle. The vehicle wrecked at 66th and Prairie View Road.

Police said the occupants of the vehicle exited and ran into the woods near 9 Highway and NW Coffee near the quarry.

One suspect was taken into custody earlier Wednesday afternoon. Police said the second suspect, Clarence Foy, was located in the woods and was taken into custody shortly before 6 p.m. Foy was also wanted on a parole warrant.

Officials said the vehicle driven by the suspects was reported stolen out of Topeka, Kansas. The vehicle may possible be related to a homicide that occurred on July 30 in Topeka.

Topeka police said in a news release Foy was identified as a person of interest in the July 30 homicide.

Park University was on lockdown as authorities searched for the suspect. A Park University spokesman said at 4:30 p.m., the university, with assistance from law enforcement, released all employees and students who were on campus to go home.
