The Kansas Highway Patrol confirms a man died at a crash on eastbound Interstate 70 at 7th St. in Kansas City, Kansas about 7 p.m. Saturday evening.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, it was a single-vehicle wreck with just one man in the vehicle.
Troopers say a 1996 Toyota 4Runner was eastbound on I-70 in the left exit lane to 5th St. The driver made a lane change to the right to continue eastbound on I-70, when the vehicle went off the roadway, overturning multiple times and ejecting the driver out of the sunroof.
Police say Brayan Josue Valladres Varela, 24, of Kansas City, Kansas was killed in the crash.
I-70 was closed between 7th and 3rd St. for a time while troopers worked the crash and conducted an investigation.
