Right before the last game of the season for the Kansas City Chiefs, Special Operations Command Parachute team, or Para-Commandos, will be landing at Arrowhead Stadium.
“Anytime you jump out of a plane, you are not doing the most sane thing you could do that day. But it’s always a lot of fun,” said Para Commando leader Keith Walter.
Walters has sky-dived for special forces for over 30 years, and has 5,000 jumps under his belt.
The jump is from 5,000 feet in the air, starting a quarter mile away from the stadium. The goal is to land between the two 40 yard lines.
“I love it I have been in the military for 22 years, being about to go out and show what we do as a military specifically the special operations and getting the kids excited even the parents,” said Lt. Geretta Dillion, the drop zone safety officer.
The purpose of the jump is to inform people about special forces working around the globe.
