The Sedalia Police Department arrested a possible suspect after a shooting in Sedalia, Missouri, on Thursday morning. The shooting injured two people.

The shooting occurred at 1816 S. Sneed at 4:50 a.m., according to a press release sent out by the Sedalia Police Department.

A 6-year-old was present during the shooting and had a gun pointed at her during the incident, but was not harmed.

The names of the victims are Terez Lewis and Elisha Curry. Police have identified the shooting suspect as Henry L. Ward. Ward denies any involvement, but said he ran because he knew he would be accused of the crime. Lewis had confronted Ward at a gas station earlier in the week accusing him of robbing his house.

The male and female victims are currently being treated at the Mid-Missouri Trauma Center.
