UPDATE: Police were able to take the suspect into custody around 8 p.m. after a brief foot chase.
Police were called to a reported shooting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. But according to Captain Stacey Graves of the Kansas City Police Department, when officers arrived they found a victim of assault.
A suspect is believed to be armed inside the residence refusing to exit.
