Fort Riley, Kan., police and Special Agents from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command are investigating after a body was found in a vehicle on Fort Riley on Tuesday.
According to a news release from the military facility, Fort Riley emergency services responded to a report of a vehicle off the road near Caisson Hill Road on post just after 6 p.m. The crews discovered the body of an unidentified person inside.
The release stated processing the area will require the closure of Caisson Hill Road between E Street and Ammunition Supply Point through September 23. The closure will not impact access to Irwin Army Community Hospital.
