The friends of Johnson County Library spent Monday and Tuesday turning the gym at Johnson County Community College into a bibliophile’s bonanza!
It was a bucket brigade of books, from truck to table, for hours, to get ready. Some 350 volunteers made it happen.

More than 100,000 hard covers, paperbacks, coffee table tomes, DVDs and books on tape are ready for your perusal at prices as low as a quarter.
According to the library’s Christopher Leitch, this annual sale supports early literacy programs, collection purchases and staff professional development.
Doors open Wednesday afternoon with everything wrapping up on Saturday.
