UPDATE: Police identify man found dead in KCK

UPDATE, 9/29: Kansas City, Kan., police have identified the man who was found in the 1900 block of North 28th Street. 

KCK police identified the victim as Cristobal A. Marzanares-Sepulveda, 20, of Kansas City, Kan.

The incident remains under investigation. Police ask anyone with information on the case to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.

ORIGINAL STORY: 

Kansas City, Kan., police are investigating a homicide in the 1900 block of N 28th Street.

KCK police said at 2:25 p.m. Monday, officers responded to check on the welfare of an individual. When officers arrived, they located a deceased Hispanic man on the ground between two homes. KCK police described the victim as a man in his 20s or 30s. 

Police said it's likely the body has been at the location since early Monday morning. 

KCK police said it is unknown at this time what type of weapon was used. 

Originally police were investigating the incident as a suspicious death. 

KCK police said the incident remains under investigation. Police encourage anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
