One man was killed Tuesday morning after his own car rolled over him in Kansas City, Kansas.
Police were called to a single-vehicle accident at 10th Street and Washington Avenue around 6:15 a.m.

According to the authorities, a black male in his early 60s was having trouble starting his car, so he placed his cane on the brake pedal after shifting the vehicle into drive. He went to check something underneath his engine, the cane slipped and knocked the car out of gear. The vehicle then rolled over the man and crushed him to death.
The victim has not yet been identified.
