UPDATE 11/22 at 6:15 a.m.: One person was arrested following a standoff at a KCK gas station Tuesday morning.
Subject has surrendered at 55th & Swartz w/o incident. He reportedly suffers from mental illness.

Police were called to the Fast Stop near 55th and Swartz around 4:50 a.m. after reports of a man waiving a gun inside the convenient store.
When police arrived on the scene, the male subject became agitated and fired a shot into the air and one at officers.
After speaking with the man for over an hour, the suspect put down his gun and surrendered.
Officials say the man suffered from mental illness. He was taken into custody without incident.
