Two people were killed and two others were hurt in a crossover crash in Franklin County, Kansas, on Tuesday.
The crash occurred about 6:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-35 about three miles from the U.S. 59 junction.
One vehicle headed south on I-35 with three people inside. The second vehicle headed north with just the driver. The southbound vehicle crossed over into the northbound lanes. The northbound car hit the crossover car and cut the car in half.
Two people in the crossover vehicle died. They have been identified as 28-year-old April Brown and 9-year-old Jeremiah Persinger.
One other person is at a hospital. There’s no word on severity of injuries.
The driver of the northbound car was also taken to a hospital. There’s no word on his injuries.
