Silver Alert canceled for Nita Faye McRay

UPDATE: The endangered SILVER Advisory for Nita Faye McRay has been canceled. She was located safe in Deepwater, Missouri.

An Endangered SILVER Advisory alert has been issued for Nita Faye McRay (known as “Faye”), an 81-year-old Independence woman, who left home on Friday and was last seen at about 2:30 p.m.

McRay is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 135 pounds and has gray hair and brown eyes. She left her home in the 3900 block of South Willis Avenue in her silver four-door 2001 Saturn with Missouri license (disabled plate) CU18F, to get ice cream. She may have traveled to one of the three locations:

  • Walmart Neighborhood Market, 35th and Noland (3411 S. Noland Road)
  • Price Chopper, 42nd and Noland (4201 S. Noland Road)
  • Walmart, I-70 and Blue Ridge Boulevard (11601 E US 40 Highway, KCMO)

Anyone who sees McRay or the vehicle is asked to call 911 or the Independence Police Department at 816-836-3600.
