An 18-year-old woman from Liberty has been missing for 10 days and police and the family are asking for your help.

Authorities are trying to locate Desirea Ann Ferris who is 5’1”, 101 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.

Desirea's mother Patricia Tam says both of her daughters were out with two men they knew on May 1. At some point one of the daughters wanted to come home and was dropped off.

Desirea stayed out with the men and was supposed to be dropped off at a friends house in liberty. But she never made it there.

Her cell phone now goes straight to voicemail and she has not logged onto social media since she disappeared.

Tam says that is unusual for her daughter, who calls or texts her usually several times a day.

"She's a very beautiful girl. Outgoing... She's a little bit too trustworthy with people and I think that is what might have got her in this situation," said Tam.

Ferris may be wearing a fuzzy pink jacket and a cream colored crop top and was last seen carrying a tan purse.

A search party will gather on Friday, May 12, at the old Price Chopper location next to Sutherlands in Liberty at 9:30 a.m.

Tam said anyone in the community is welcome to join the search.

"I want my daughter home... leads about where she's at her or who has her. Just come home," explained Tam.

Anyone with information should contact the Liberty Police Department at 816.439.4701, your local law enforcement agency, or the TIPS hotline at 816.474.8477.
