Two women were arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly leading the Cass County Sheriff's Office and several other metro police forces on a chase in a stolen vehicle.

The suspects, whose names have not been released, reportedly stole the vehicle - a white MGE van - from an owner in Kansas City. On Thursday afternoon, they were driving south on I-49 when Kansas City and Belton police said they began to pursue them. Cass County deputies said they followed the vehicle to 291 Highway, where Harrisonville police deployed a tire deflation device that punctured one tired.

The driver lost control of the vehicle as the punctured tire deflated; she and her passenger were reportedly then arrested without incident.

The two subjects are now in Cass County Jail, and the van has been towed to the Cass County Sheriff's Office.
