Authorities recovered the bodies of two teenagers who officials believe drowned at Table Rock Lake in Branson, Missouri.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said students from St. Paul Lutheran High School in Concordia were at Table Rock Lake on Tuesday for a school outing for seniors.
They were later identified as Shijan Lin of China and Isaac A. Mills, of Michigan. Both were 17 years old.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said the boat was stationary in in the water and was not anchored. The teens were swimming from the boat and did not resurface, officials said.
Rescue crews responded and searched the water. Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, marine operations officers with the Missouri Highway Patrol recovered the teens’ bodies.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says this is the first and second water fatalities of 2016.
