Three Wichita boys found safe, suspect in custody

UPDATE 3:20 PM 6/3/2017: Dane Wight, the man accused of abducting three boys in Wichita, Kansas, is currently being held in a Wichita Jail.

He was booked on three counts of suspicion of child endangerment aggravated arson, one count of first-degree murder and two counts of failure to appear.

An AMBER Alert has been canceled after three boys were found safe and the suspect is in custody.

At 12:21 p.m. Friday, the Wichita Fire Department responded to a residential fire at 321 N. Ash Street in Wichita. Firefighters discovered a dead woman.

The Wichita Police Department considers the death suspicious, and the identification of the woman is pending due to the fire.

Three boys police believed were connected to the woman were missing. 

After 9 p.m. Friday, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation said the suspect, Dane Wright, was taken into custody and the three boys were found safe in the 4500 block of S. Broadway in Wichita.
