The state medical examiner has positively identified a body found by officials as a man reported missing from Allen County.
Shawn Cook has been missing since March 16, 2016.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Allen County Sheriff's Office and the Iola Police Department found the body while investigating his disappearance, according to Allen County Attorney Jerry B. Hathaway.
The body was transported to Kansas City for autopsy and identification.
The cause of death is still undetermined at this time.
