The man accused of sexually abusing multiple veterans at the Eastern Kansas VA Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas was back in court Friday.

Prosecutors charged Mark Wisner with aggravated criminal sodomy and three counts of sexual battery.

The former physician assistant is accused of sodomizing a powerless, unconscious veteran and inappropriately touching at least three others.

“There are still criminal investigations going on and as long as those investigations are going on, we’re still waiting for reports and working with the victims we can,” said Leavenworth County District Attorney Todd Thompson.

He said both sides are still building cases, which is why the jury trial has been delayed.

It is now set for October 31.

Wisner is expected back in court for a status hearing on June 24.
