The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 14 people died in traffic crashes statewide during the 2017 Fourth of July holiday weekend.
Officials say between June 30 and July 4, there were 494 crashes in Missouri. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, distracted driving is a major factor in the number of crashes.
