Right now flyers can use their license to get past security checkpoints if they're flying domestically.

However, for that to continue in Missouri lawmakers must make drivers licenses Real ID complaint.

The Real ID Act was passed after September 11, 2001, to make licenses stronger. However, some say it asks for too much personal information, like your social security number.

The Missouri House passed the bill last March. The legislative session ends Friday.

If it's not passed Missouri residents will not be able to use a license as an ID to fly starting January 2018.
