Meet Cayden Geldhof-Hess.
He’s 5 years old and already has a high bowling score of 174.
“He’s a local celebrity around town,” says the boy’s father Jamie Hess.
Cayden bowls between 50 and 80 games a week at the only bowling alley in town, Colony Bowl in Algonac. Hess says the bowling alley will open several lanes at a time for Cayden, and he just lines up the shots.
“He’s obsessed with bowling, we don’t know why or how,” said Hess, who says he was never really into bowling before his son.
Cayden’s introduction to bowling was a game on his father’s iPad when he was just one. In fact, his first word was “bowling ball.”
The now 50-pound, 5-year-old uses balls up to 12 pounds.
Last year, when Cayden was four, he crushed his 4-8-year-old league and swept up trophies and awards. Hess said eight year olds were crying and said it was just dumb luck, but he insists Cayden has got something special.
See for yourself.
