Sidney Steele leads KSHB 41's weekend morning programming as the producer of KSHB 41 News Today Weekend.
Sidney is a life-long Missouri resident who grew up visiting and loving Kansas City, and is thrilled to be able to build her life in this city. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism and holds a master's degree from New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development in Media, Culture and Communication.
Sidney's work in journalism focuses on connecting people with the information they need to be active participants in their community and democratic process, wherever they are at.
Before coming to KSHB 41, Sidney has worked at KBIA News, The Kansas City Star and The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
Outside of her work at KSHB 41, Sidney teaches and practices yoga and enjoys spending time with her two tuxedo cats, Mr. Mittens and Baby Booties.
