From printing t-shirts to selling the latest team gear, a championship title means big business.
"Here it was crazy," said Dave Curtis, owner of the Independence-based t-shirt printing company Game Time Graphics. "We just were always waiting for a game to end. If it was the ending of a series, we were getting ready for the next one."
Curtis said when the Royals won the World Series, he saw 10 times the amount of business than he would normally see.
"Customers wouldn't buy just one, they would buy six or seven because they would send them to their families all around the country. So it’s hard to keep up with that kind of demand," Curtis said.
At retail stores like Kansas Sampler Rally House, the team gear with the World Series logo on it was being snatched up as soon as the doors opened.
"From the moment they won the World Series, business was white hot," said Chad Phillips, general merchandise manager for Rally House.
Phillips explained when there is this much demand, the products get better and better.
"Success breeds success and opportunity to develop new styles. Our vendors have come to us with a lot of great new ideas," Phillips said.
