Baltimore Avenue is getting an honorary name change thanks to the Boys in Blue.
KCMO City Communications Director Chris Hernandez told 41 Action News the city council voted unanimously for Baltimore Avenue to be renamed Royals Avenue during the playoffs.

The city said no actual signs will be changed; it is only an honorary name change.
Residents of Baltimore Ave. took to Twitter earlier in the week asking Mayor Sly James to rename their road.

After the name change Thursday, Oleen was back on social media, thanking the city and cheering on her team.
