It's easy to not always feel a part of the game when your job is to sit and wait to hit. For the Royals' designated hitter Kendrys Morales, playing defense is a rare occurrence when you have a Gold Glove first baseman like Eric Hosmer playing in front of you.
Though, Morales made the most of the opportunity.
I spoke with Manger Ned Yost on how playing defense can help Morales break out of a slump in a big way, as he smashed two homers in Sunday's win against the Astros.
