The Kansas Jayhawks defeated Austin Peay 105-79 in the opening round of the NCAA playoffs.
The team scored 100 or more points for only the fifth time this season.
While the offense seemed to be clicking on all cylinders, the defense was a disappointment for Head Coach Bill Self's bunch.

KU tied a season high in most points allowed in a single game. The entire 15-man roster was able to play in the game against the Governors. That was the first time all 15 players were able to enter a game this season.
Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, or Svi as he's affectionately called, came off the bench to score a team high, and career high, 23 points. Cheick Diallo was able to chip in with 9 points off the bench. Brannen Greene played 11 minutes and notched four assists and three steals.
Various bench players talked about being able to get some valuable playing time in the NCAA tournament and how it would help the rest of the team going forward in their next contest against a much tougher Connecticut Huskies squad.
