Chiefs fans can watch their team in action in the first open practice in St. Joseph on Saturday.

The Chiefs veterans arrived here today at training camp looking good, feeling great, and ready for a run at the Super Bowl.

This team has a lot of guys that now have that playoff experience. Many feel like this is their year to win the AFC West Division and make that deep post season run.

The rookies held their final early morning practice session today before the full team hits the field Saturday afternoon. The Chiefs will be without running back Jamaal Charles. The team announced that he will start camp on the physically unable to perform list.

That means Charcandrick West will be the feature back with Spencer Ware behind him. West had one word for the kind of relationship he and Charles have.

"Outstanding. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for Jamaal. So, I'm very blessed and fortunate to have him as a friend, as a brother, as a teammate. I mean, every guy in that room has helped me be to where I am today," West said.

The first official Chiefs practice of training camp will start Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. and it is open to the public. It's only five dollars to watch this team make their first push in their quest for a Super Bowl.

There will be an autograph session tomorrow after training camp so fans can bring souvenirs, hats, helmets, jerseys, baseball cards, anything they want signed. Also bring some comfortable clothing with lots of sunscreen because it will be fairly warm outside. You're permitted to bring one factory sealed bottle of water to stay hydrated.
