On Tuesday, theChiefs announced that a club placed a franchise tag on safety Eric Berry--keeping him off of the free-agent market.
Berry won the 2015 Comeback Player of the Year Award after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in December 2014. He returned to practice in July 2015 and played the whole season.
The Kingdom weighed in on the team's decision.

I love Eric Berry and all, but it was an emotional/irrational call to tag him instead of Sean Smith. Bad move.
