KANSAS CITY, Mo. — NFL players won’t be placed in a bubble this season, but will reportedly be monitored and potentially fined for risky behaviors off the field.

That’s no problem for Kansas City Chiefs rookie RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire — he’s not into partying.

“You can ask anybody in college,” he stated. “I probably went out five times.”

According to a report from ProFootballTalk, NFL players are prohibited from attending indoor night clubs, bars, house parties, concerts or even indoor church services that allow attendance above 25 percent of capacity.

Under the agreement between the NFLPA and league ownership, players could reportedly be fined for breaking the rules and risk voiding game checks if forced to miss time with COVID-19.

“I’m not a party guy, I stay at home,” the former LSU tailback told the media Saturday. “I’m usually just by myself if I’m doing anything. I’m probably just hunting or fishing.”

Rookies are undergoing virus testing during the initial days of training camp before ramping up to strength and conditioning work. Edwards-Helaire spoke glowingly of the Chiefs organization keeping players on track amid a pandemic.

“The setup, everything about me being here is perfect for me,” he said. “The way everything is displayed here and setup here. I feel absolutely safe.”

An official training camp schedule remains in flux but the team is expected to begin padded practices August 14.
