Independence police are investigating a shooting that happened near East Rankin Road and South Noland Road on Thursday.
The shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. inside the Landmark Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram used car dealership, police said.
According to police, officers found a man with gunshot wounds at the scene.
The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment. It's not clear how extensive his injuries were.
Police said a suspect was taken into custody after the shooting.
