KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri senior center Jeremiah Tilmon will miss a second straight game.

The Tigers men’s basketball team announced Monday that Tilmon won’t travel to Georgia and won’t be available for Tuesday’s game.

Tilmon, a 6-foot-10 native of East St. Louis, Illinois, is averaging career-highs of 12.8 points and 7.8 rebounds for 20th-ranked Mizzou, which dropped 10 spots in the latest Associated Press Top 25.

The Tigers got blown out last week at Mississippi then lost to Arkansas in overtime on Saturday at Mizzou Arena. Tilmon missed the loss to the Razorbacks.

Kansas men’s basketball, which had its record 231-poll streak of appearing in the AP ranking snapped last week, returned to the poll at No. 23.

Undefeated Gonzaga and Baylor remained 1-2 in the poll followed by Michigan and Ohio State. Illinois rounds out the top five.

Alabama and Oklahoma check in eighth and ninth this week with Texas and West Virginia 12th and 13th, respectively, followed by Creighton and Texas Tech.

Tennessee is ranked No. 18 with Arkansas entering the poll at No. 24.
