KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Gonzaga once again has racked up all but the two first-place votes that went to Baylor in the latest Associated Press men's college basketball poll.
Villanova remained firmly behind the preseason top two despite not playing a game since Dec. 23 due to COVID-19 pauses within its program.
Iowa and Texas swapped places to round out the top 5, while Duke plummeted from the poll for the first time since February 2016 following its loss to Virginia Tech.
With Kentucky and North Carolina also unranked, Monday marked the first time in nearly 60 years the triumvirate of college hoops royalty was unranked and the first time in the top-25 era.

During the 1961-62 season, the AP poll only ranked the top 10.
In addition to Duke, Louisville also fell out of the poll, while No. 18 Alabama and No. 24 UCLA were newcomers to the poll.
Kansas, which lost to Oklahoma State last week, dropped three spots to No. 9, while Missouri dropped two spots to No. 19 despite winning its only game last week — a 68-52 victory Saturday at Texas A&M.
The Tigers had two home games, Jan. 9 vs. LSU and Jan. 12 vs. Vanderbilt, postponed due to a COVID-19 protocols.
Creighton dropped three spots to No. 11 after a loss to Butler, while Texas Tech moved up three spots to No. 12 after nipping Texas and despite a loss to Baylor.
No. 14 West Virginia is the only other ranked Big 12 team, while Saint Louis hung around in the poll at No. 25.
