The sport of Rugby Sevens will be making its debut at the Rio Olympics, and the U.S. Women’s squad will be led by Alev Kelter, who always knew she would make it to the Olympics. She just wasn’t sure in what sport.
“Rugby makes a good Olympic sport because it’s fast paced,” Kelter said. “There’s contact some people like to see that. It’s safe.”
