KANSAS CITY, Mo — The Kansas City Chiefs continue their ramp-up period at the Arrowhead Practice Facility.
Head Coach Andy Reid said on Sunday morning that the team currently is in the Phase Two period.
Phase Two of the ramp up allows players to wear helmets and padded shirt, but no offense versus defense on the field.
This phase will last for two more days, according to Reid, then the team will be able to start offense versus defense drills on the field with shells on.

With the cancellation of all preseason games, the Chiefs now are using their extended time at training camp to prepare for the season opener at home.
"We will hit every situation that we can think of," Reid said. "I'm sure there will be something that pops up that you don't think about, but, for the most part, we will have everything taken care of situationally, and then we will roll from there."
Reid also said the extra time has benefited his team, and he feels the Chiefs are right on track. Each NFL team was given extra practices in pads, something Reid said he thinks will give the Chiefs enough time to cover all the situations.
"It's important in this day and age in football because (we play) situational football, because of the margins between wins and loses are very important," Reid said.
The Chiefs will open up the NFL 2020 season at Arrowhead on Sept. 10 against the Houston Texans.
